95th Academy Awards
On Sunday, March 5, the 95th Annual Academy Awards were held to honor films released in 2022. The film, Everything Everywhere All At Once, took home seven awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. Other winners of the night included Brendan Fraser for Best Actor in The Whale, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio for Best Animated Feature Film, Top Gun: Maverick for Best Sound, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever for Best Costume Design, and Avatar: The Way of Water for Best Visual Effects.
March Madness
Hope your brackets were filled before the annual event kicked off in Dayton, OH, on Tuesday, March 14! The 84th edition of the tournament is set to conclude on April 3 in Houston. Throughout the tournament, there have been many upsets such as Princeton defeating highly-ranked Arizona in the first round, Farleigh Dickinson defeating Purdue, San Diego State taking down #1 Alabama, and Miami also defeating a #1 seed, Houston.
#Scandoval
On March 3, TMZ broke the news to fans of the hit Bravo show Vanderpump Rules that Tom Sandoval had been having an affair with Raquel Leviss, despite having a girlfriend of nine years—Ariana Madix—who also appears on the show. Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour
Fresh off the great Ticketmaster crash of 2022, Taylor Swift began her sixth headlining concert tour, which highlights all her albums including Midnights. Swift has described the tour as a “journey through all of her musical eras.” Shows last over three hours with 44 songs divided into 10 acts to portray Swift’s albums conceptually. The tour began on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, AZ, which was renamed Swift City for the weekend to honor the artist. The U.S. leg of the tour is set to conclude in Los Angeles on August 9. The Eras Tour has received unanimous acclaim from critics.
