Marvel’s Big Announcements
San Diego Comic-Con was held from Thursday, July 21 to Sunday, July 24. One of the biggest things to come out of this year’s convention were announcements for future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Many of those who watch MCU-related content have felt that ever since Endgame, Marvel wasn’t sure where the next big storyline would lead. But all that changed on July 23. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, announced that viewers were now in the Multiverse Saga which will conclude with two new Avengers movies in 2025. Additional projects that were announced included Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Blade, Daredevil: Born Again, and many more. Click here to learn about all the announcements. The panel ended with the cast and director of Marvel’s upcoming sequel to 2018’s Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, speaking about the film and releasing the teaser trailer.
MLB All-Star Game
The “Midsummer Classic” aired on Tuesday, July 19 where the game was played at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, home to the National League’s Los Angeles Dodgers. The American League continued its streak and won its ninth All-Star game with a final score of 3-2.
Primetime Emmy Award Nominations
Nominations for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, which honors the best in American prime time television programming, were announced on Tuesday, July 12. HBO/HBO Max led other networks with 140 nominations, with Succession being the most nominated show of the season. The ceremony will be held on Monday, September 12, on NBC.
