The Infamous Facebook/Instagram Shut Down

Facebook, Instagram, and the instant messaging service WhatsApp—all of which are owned by Facebook—suffered a worldwide outage on the morning of October 4 due to an apparent server configuration issue. Facebook updated its members by stating that, “Configuration changes on the backbone routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers,” blocking their ability to communicate and setting off a cascade of network failures. Go Easy On Us, Adele

Adele’s long-awaited comeback happened as she released the first single off her new album 30, which is expected to arrive on November 19. “Easy on Me” is the first new song from the singer in over five years after she captivated the world with “Hello.” Fans rejoiced across the world and the song broke many records after its release on Thursday, October 14. It became Spotify’s most-streamed song in a single day. To say we have our tissues ready is an understatement, but we are excited to hear the album next month, which is inspired by her divorce.

Squid Game

Netflix has done it again with their newest release, Squid Game. The show has hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children’s games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are deadly. Squid Game became an instant success for Netflix and the platform’s biggest series launch by reaching more than 111 million viewers.
