Dad Joke Enthusiast
If you’ve ever wanted to know a little more about the A-Team, here’s your chance. Each month, we will be highlighting a different agency team member. This week we are helping you get to know our office dad joke enthusiast, dog dad, Drake dancing, Video and Motion Graphics Editor, Justin!
Describe your role at ANDERSON in 10 words or less… GO!
“Motion designer, video editor, dad joker extraordinaire.”
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
“Do a daily S.T.O.P.: Sit, Think, Organize, Perform. Take 5-10 minutes every morning to look at your day and week, and organize, schedule, and prioritize your tasks. Taking the time to perform a bird’s eye view of your plan keeps you from getting overwhelmed by the chaos, and allows you to focus on one thing at a time.”
What led you to this career path?
“I took a 3D animation class in high school and fell in love with it. In college I switched from animation to film school, and eventually found my way back to animation after a couple of years behind a camera. Now I’ve found a new passion in advertising and marketing strategy, and business administration. It’s been a long, winding road of self discovery.”
If you could add one thing to the office what would it be?
“A weight room!”
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Don’t take life too seriously, no one makes it out alive anyway.”
Who inspires you?
“Bob Ross. No joke. That guy was a gift to humanity.”
What are you passionate about?
“My side passion is cars. Working on cars, driving unique cars, racing cars, painting cars, all of it.”
What is your favorite thing about this career field?
“I get to work with incredibly passionate people, and use my talents to help people communicate better. Good business means creating value for people, and through advertising I get to bring the message of that value to people. Bad advertising is obviously an irritation to most people, but when it’s done well and for a good cause, hood advertising brings value to people’s lives.”
Favorite place in Arizona? In Phoenix?
“My favorite place in Phoenix AND Arizona is Churn, an ice cream shop in Uptown Phoenix. Best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life.”
What’s one thing you learned recently?
“I recently finished a time management course that has totally revolutionized the way I deal with my to-do list.”
What is your guilty pleasure?
“Scotch whiskey.”
Last but not least, what is your favorite thing about ANDERSON?
“I can bring my dog to work, obviously!”
