ABBY’S DAY IN THE LIFE BLOG
Hi! I’m Abby, the Account Services Intern here at ANDERSON. Since January, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to dive deep into the world of advertising, experiencing everything from creative brainstorms to social media planning. Join me for a typical (yet jam-packed) day in the life at the agency.
Morning
I start my work day at 8:30 and am happily greeted by the team. I run through everything on my agenda before jumping into the day’s big meetings. I check emails and review my to-do list to get organized. Every day looks a little different around here, which keeps me on my toes with the constant ebb and flow of advertising.
American Heart Association
First up on the agenda: ANDERSON is helping the AHA with their newest campaign, and I was able to sit in on the creative brainstorming session for it. Being a part of these creative brainstorming sessions has been incredibly impactful in helping me understand how we take client feedback and turn it into something even greater than they imagined.
June Creative Brainstorm
Next, I joined another brainstorm with our creative team, tossing around ideas for an upcoming campaign. It’s super cool to be part of that process and get a peek at all the fun new things in the works.
June Social
I wrapped up the last brainstorming session of the day with the social team, checking in on upcoming June content and chatting through future planning. It’s a great time to see the ideas we’ve been developing come to life and get a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming next month.
One-on-One with Chelsea
Toward the end of my day, I meet with Chelsea, our Account Executive, for a weekly check-in. These one-on-ones are a great chance to talk through goals, responsibilities, and how to make the most of my internship. They really help me better prepare for everything I have going on in the upcoming weeks.
Signing Out
Before I head out at 5:30 PM, I wrap up my weekly recap and go through my to-do list to tie up any remaining loose ends. It’s a perfect way to end a busy, fulfilling day at ANDERSON.
Every day holds something different, and that is what I have loved so much about being an intern at ANDERSON. I’ve been surrounded by driven people looking to grow their ambitions, which has inspired me to grow and learn more about what it means to work in an agency. I have learned so many valuable lessons that I know I’ll carry with me into my future career.
