Making Motion

It’s been a minute since we have learned about members of the ANDERSON Team. But with two new-hires, it’s time to get back into it! This week, we are getting to know our new Video Editor and Motion Designer, Erick!

Describe your role at Anderson in 10 words or less…GO!

“To take good ideas and make them move!”

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

“Noise canceling headphones and LoFi tunes.”

What led you to this career path?

“Curiosity.”

If you could add one thing to the office, what would it be?

“A hammock.”

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

“Drink more water.”

Who inspires you?

“Other artists from different mediums. I really like going to the Art Museum and Symphony on the weekends when I am not trying to learn more about my craft.”

What are you passionate about?

“Being present in the moment as much as I can, so I can enjoy the things that matter most to me, like family and the arch of a great story – whether it plays out in sports, video games, or movies.”

What is your favorite thing about this career field?

“Being able to tell a good story here and there.”

Favorite place in Arizona? In Phoenix?

“I think Phoenix is best taken in as an experience. One of my favorite nights before COVID was starting at Cornish Pasties downtown for drinks and an early dinner in their basement, walking next door to Valley Bar for more drinks and a game of darts, then moving up to the Crescent Ballroom to see what DJ is playing and having a beer, before we end the night with a late night slice of pizza from Ziggy’s. That is what I call a good Tuesday!”

What’s one thing you learned recently?

“It’s less energy to be grateful for the things I do have, than for the things I don’t.”

What is your guilty pleasure?

“Freshly baked Potbelly chocolate chip cookies…or any chocolate chip cookie to be honest.”

Last but not least, what is your favorite thing about ANDERSON?

“The dogs.”
