Hon. Lorenzo Sierra

Vice President of Public Affairs, Matters of State Strategies

Leaving his south Tucson neighborhood for the first time to attend Arizona’s Boys’ State, Lorenzo’s mom called after him, “Don’t forget, Mijo, you’re representing all of us.” This reminder has guided Lorenzo ever since. An Arizona native, Lorenzo has made significant contributions to public policy and politics for over three decades. He is a former council member for the City of Avondale and a past member of the Arizona House of Representatives. His expertise spans legislative affairs, economic development, healthcare, immigration, and education.

Lorenzo was one of four Arizonans named to Joe Biden’s national Latino Leadership Committee during the 2020 presidential campaign. He has also served on the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Economic Development Committee, as co-chair for the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, and as a board member for numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Chicanos por la Causa. Currently, Lorenzo is a member of the Maricopa County Public Health Board, Xico, and CopperState Credit Union. He chairs Mayo Clinic’s Community Advisory Board and serves as whip for the Arizona Credentialing Committee for the Democratic National Convention.
